Here we have car that could probably tell good story, if cars could talk.  This is 1959 Convertible that looks like someone was setting up for racing, or did race it at one time, like Speedster.  The engine is from 356C, engine number 704437 with Solex 40Pii Carbs and racing flutes.  The engine is also set for for 12 Volt, with 12 volt coil and generator.  The car retains what is probably the original gearbox because it has BBAB gearing.  The front brakes have been upgraded to the bigger 356B drums.  The seats are Speedster type seats and are aluminum,  probably older reproduction but they are aluminum.  The engine lid is modified lightweight lid.  The original top frame and windshield frame are included if you wanted to make this back to proper Convertible D.The car has had lot of metal work done with new floors, battery box, and rockers to name few things.  But whoever was welding on this car had function in mind, with crude repairs and fabrication so if you wanted to make nice car out of it you would probably want to redo much of the work that was already done.  All kinds of crazy looking welding, patching, and large amounts of body filler can be found on this car.  There is also lots of rust left to deal with, please look closely at the pictures to get an idea of the scope of this project.Priced with super low reserve this is car that if you thought you would never be able to own Speedster or D, this might be your lucky day.  Don't miss out!
