1959 Singer Gazelle Convertible*** NO RESERVE ***

History... bought this Singer Gazelle Convertibles as part of group of cars. Each one 1959 Singer Convertible. The first car restored and modified with Toyota V6 Automatic, it turned out well and recently sold it. The second car is now in the process of being modified to V6 and may plans are to keep it. realize that won't have time to do third car so am selling this one. The fourth car is parts car. Before coming to me they were parked on farm for many many years, the previous owner planed to restored them all but advanced age prevented him from getting started.
Body... The body and trim are complete... the position convertible top folds as it should... there is rust as the pictures show but in my opinion all rusted panels are repairable and will not need to be replaced.. all glass is present the windows wind up and down... the chrome will need to be redone for the most part... the paint is very poor... the tires are poor...
Mechanical... Under the hood seems to be mostly complete the engine turns over by hand but no attempt has been made to get it running... the transmission, drive shaft and rear end are there are in place... the brakes are not working.. the car rolls and steers...  the transmission is speed with overdrive.
Interior... The interior is complete with leather badly weathered.. the wood on the dash ad door panels is restorable... the gauge package is complete... the convertible top fabric is shot...
Over All... This car needs to be completely redone but is complete enough that you won't go crazy looking for parts. All the convertible specific parts are there including the pinch weld molding. It has rust but is still very restorable.
Singer Gazelle convertibles were the upgraded cousins of the Hillman Minx and Sunbeam Rapier, all cars from Routes Group. The convertible featured position convertible top (fully up, half open in the landau position, and fully folded) as well  speed transmissions with overdrive. They had leather interiors with real wood accents and dash panels. In convertible form they were rare, even when new and now only hand full exist in the UK. The export models were very limited production, read on Singer Club website that they believe that less 12 left hand drive cars remain.
