ORIGINAL PAINT 1960 Kingswood PASSENGER (third row seat) wagon from Arizona. People think that all these wagons had the seat in the back but that is not the case. Most of the wagons produced were the base model six cylinder, three speed manual transmission Brookwood with the standard passenger seating.

The passenger Kingswood wagons were the more expensive when new and are more desirable now. If you are looking at this listing you know that they are relative rare and hard to find in any condition much less survive 60 years with it's original GM applied paint.
This is running, driving project car with lot of expensive stuff already done and $10,000 in receipts in hand.
Full Ridetech digital air ride with dual pumps and big red manifold.
It has low mileage 5.3 LS conversion with slick shifting T56 six speed and 3.70 rear gear with new axle bearings and seals.
It has tight, modern rack and pinion steering set up with professional full custom tubular front sub-frame. It has custom made 3" mandrel bent TIG welded exhaust that is all banded and tucked tight to the frame. It has new power brakes all the way around including new shoes, springs and wheel cylinders in the rear and front disc brakes. It has quiet new in-tank fuel pump, new u-joints and new carrier bearing. It starts, runs cool and drives reliably. It has new Champion aluminum radiator and electric fan set up that keeps it running cool even in traffic. It is wearing set of freshly painted 15" factory GM wheels with the correct (expensive) original GM dog dish hubcaps and brand new tires all the way around.
Work still needed...Carpet, headliner and door panels (Ciadella headliner plus correct bows and yds bulk vinyl included)No turn signalsNo heat or air conditioning

As you can see, this car still has all of it's original, impossible to find 60 year old original paint. Whether you call it "character" or "patina" this finish is about as close to perfect as you will ever find on 60 year old workhorse.  Sure, it has some minor dents and dings but has never been wrecked or repainted. The hood is also original paint, but was swapped from another one of my cars. It is slightly less faded than the rest of the car but looks good.  have the original hood and if you have way to carry it, will give it to you also. The rest of the car is 100% original finish with no touch ups or blended areas. The car is super straight with excellent rockers, both inside and out. Lower rear quarters could use some metal work, but will include the passenger side sheet metal if you want to make it perfect. The grille is very nice also.
As with all of these old original paint cars, there are some crusty areas as you can see but it is all in lower areas and easy to take care of or just leave it as is and drive it. Car still has the original floor pans with some small holes but structurally solid. The chassis is rock solid and the car was treated with rust proofing at some point. Overall it is among the best OG paint 1960 Chevy wagons that have seen and have owned five others.

Even with all the custom work that has been completed, still consider this to be lite project car and have priced it accordingly.

The seats are firm and usable but have older upholstery. There is no carpet, only insulation on the floors. The headliner shown in the pictures is brand new from Ciadellas but needs to be installed. All the headliner bows are included. All of the trim is present and still in place. There are an extra yards of matching vinyl to cover the visors. Door panels are complete with all the stainless trim but the vinyl is tired. Being an Arizona car most of the weatherstripping is dry. These are easy things to do and with little money and spare time would really take this car to another level. This car could really be show stopper with fresh interior kit!
This car has working headlights, tail lights and brake lights and gas gauge. Speedometer needs cable and adapter to mate with the T56. Engine monitoring gauges are mounted under the dash.

I have priced this car as project with all the hard work being done already, with fresh interior figure this car to sell in the upper $30,000's to mid $40,000 range. Look around you'll see what nice 59-60 Chevy will go for with an LS conversion and original paint. The winning bidder can enjoy it as it is or invest some money and take it to the next level. Whatever you decide to do, you can rest assured that you will not lose money on this hard to find factory passenger wagon.
