1965 Ford Mustang Coupe – Red with Black There is nothing quite like Red car to grab your attention. And, the Black Vinyl Top really sets it off. To me, it make the carlook more formal and elegant. Coupled with the Style Steel wheels, this carreally is show stopper. As you can see by the new 500 CFM Holly we put on thecar it now runs and drives like ir should. We have spent great deal of time on this car inthe engine compartment detailing and highlighting various components. We did ournormal operation of pulling the grille and repainting it the proper 1965 colorplus pulling the female latch assembly and male latch assembly and beadblasting, priming and repainting them to look new again. We also removed thehorns, blasted, primed and painted them. We have even gone to the expense ofhaving stamp made up for the coil to look factory. No more small decals!! Theengine was painted Ford blue when we received it so we removed valve covers;blasted and repainted proper gold color for 1965 car. We also shot the block black, as it should be. Wealso sanded, primed and repainted all the inner fender panels. What job thatis! Another item that we took care of was the power steering pump which waslooking little tired. also had the radiator prepped and re-shot. The ownertold me he had the radiator flushed out and it runs nice and cool even when itis 100 degrees as it has been in Houston recently. We have even pulled themaster cylinder cap; blasted it and repainted proper color. The paint is probably 15 year old paint job. But,it is not like regular 15 year old paint job. It was garaged all of its lifeand was only taken out for an occasional fun drive. We have purchased brandnew Black standard steering wheel. We have also found like new bezel thatwill go with it. We will have it in the car in couple of days. The car didnot have radio. We will find radio of some sort to fill up the holes. Wehave given up on finding specific radio that customer will like. You willneed to find your own radio. Now for the trunk which most people do not pay thatmuch attention to, if they pay any attention at all. Many times find trashand or jumper cables in the trunk. Many times there is no spare tire, jack orlug wrench. How inspiring is that? Makes you want to go on trips with thatcar!! Right!! As you can see by the trunk pictures, it has all theproper items including the rubber on the driver’s side so your luggage does notget scratched. (Very Rare!) It also came with spare tire and wheel, lug wrenchand jack. (Very Rare Also!) painted the wheel to freshen it up and blastedthe jack and lug wrench and primed and painted both items. even put theoriginal sticker on the jack for you. would hope the buyer of this car willshow it at numerous car shows. It should do quite well. As you can see by thetrunk pics, it has its original trunk lid which is very rare and also has itsoriginal bumper braces in the trunk. Because of the location of the bumperbraces and the amount of paint it is impossible for me to get good picture ofthe date codes. The date codes on the trunk, inner fender panels, rockerpanels and front fenders can be plainly seen. EBay does not allow enough spaces for all our datecode pictures of the trunk, rocker panel, underneath of the car, fenders, innerfender panels and more. can send you pictures through the EBay email systemof any of these pictures you would like to see. We have not taken off the door panels to see if theyare correctly dates coded because they looked new. The backing on the doorpanels is card board and sometimes they tear and you have to buy new ones. Didnot want to disturb this just to check. suspect they are, with everythingelse that is original sheet metal. Please look at the underside of the doorsand how nice they are. Don’t forget the suspension piece underneath the carthat is correctly date coded also. If you are looking at several cars including ours, make sure you get them to send you date codes as that is the only way you cantell if that car is original or not. Also, make sure you see good pictures ofthe interior, engine, trunk and undersides of the cars and then compare thosecars to ours. We even put the original style decals on the cars!!________________________________________________________________________I now must clarify how important it is for you to ask questionsBEFORE you bid. HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you have the car inspected BEFORE youbid. Because of recent E-bay transaction feedback, am taking thisopportunity to respond to the allegations made. The buyer that left this very negative feedback did not email orcall us with ANY questions before he bought the car. We run 10 day auctions inorder to give bidders PLENTY of time to ask questions or have the carinspected. This buyer had representative from J.J. Best come to check the VINnumber. The J.J. Best representative was very complementary of the car. Wetried on numerous occasions to work with this buyer. We asked numerous timesfor pictures of the “rust” areas he was concerned about. He did not respond. Weoffered to sell the car for him so that he could get his money back. Herefused. As far as the accusation that the engine was not original, it has itsoriginal engine tag. This picture is still available for public viewing at thesame location shown on the pictures in this listing. We have in our descriptionthat the A/C was inoperable. We have kept all correspondense with this buyer to show the lenghts we went to try to resolve this issue. We have been in the Classic Car business for 45years and give VERY detailed information and pictures of the cars we sell. Thiscar has 60 pictures currently on our public location. There are MANY picturesof the original date codes all over the car. Included are the bottom of therust free doors. Go to our public location and look at all the pictures of the1965 Light Green with Black Vinyl top with red interior and YOU can be thejudge!! We are not able to respond to accusations made against us. This is ouronly opportunity. ________________________________________________________________________ Please email or preferably call us and let’s talkabout the car. have sold many cars on EBay and rarely talked to the person. Also, the watermark on the pictures on this auction listing shows the locationwhere many more pictures can be seen.
