Meet Molly She is 1966 Ford Mustang GTHer VIN is 6F09A112230 assembled in Dearborn, MI.  She is Tahoe Turquoise with 289 Valve, V8Engine that has approximately 76000 original miles on it.  She came from the factory with the GTEquipment package, 4-speed standard transmission and Deluxe Interior.  Tahoe Turquoise to my knowledge was 1966color only, in 65 they used Twilight or Midnight Turquoise which leans moretoward green, where this one is on the blue end of the spectrum. Her build date is September 14, 1965 she is “63B” car whichwas the designation for the Luxury Interior (Pony Seats) The original owner and his brother bought Molly at CROWNFORD in NASHVILLE, TN to make “drag car” out of.  But their mother fell for the car, and thebrothers bought Chevy.  When Molly wasstill on the lot, mom looked over and saw car with the Styled Steel Wheels,which she preferred.  The invoice says WireWheel Covers, but what Mama wants, Mama gets. So, the salesman swapped them outon the spot.Owner #2 bought Molly in the late 70’s or early 80’s.  He won few trophies with her in the localMustang Club car shows.  He put the firstpaint job on her.Owner worked at the Ford glass plant in Nashville, TNand drove her daily.  He lived inLebanon, TN his commute was about miles either way. The story goes that inthe late 80’s he got the door dinged in the parking lot, so he quit drivingher. Stacy’s repaired the door and repainted the car for him in 1989 or 1990.
