 There’s much that can be said about this factory 1967 CodeFord.   I will attempt to give brief description regarding itsoverall condition, history and drivability.   The car you see pictured here hails from the Mid West. Shehas been carefully guarded since its release by the dealer in Joplin, Mo.     It seems that the original owner was local celebrity ofsorts who could be found cruising this Mustang or his 1969 Mercury Marauder onany given night.  At any rate being member of the armed forces subjected himto long stays overseas and sometime during the late eighties the Mustang wasshelved.      After lengthy stay and upon his return mild restorationbegan. For all intensive purposes the quality regarding the workcompleted was more than respectable. That being said he found himself on theend of another deployment in 1991 and shortly thereafter it was sold.  The second owner picked up the assignment approximately fiveyears later and finished what was started.





 A decision was made to stray away from the original shade ofblue that the car came covered in from the factory (D-Code Acapulco Blue).  However the color chosen has quickly made this pony car afan favorite! beautiful shade of Blue taken from Porsche would supersedewhat was originally laid down by the factory.  Let me say at this point everyone really admires theexterior and overall presentation of this Mustang! Random strangers can befound snapping pictures wherever the car travels.









 You can tell that the craftsman took his time in making surethe car would be respectable. The body lines are contoured properly and eachpanel is uniform. There are no major imperfections to be found. The base coat /clear coat method was incorporated to transfer the material along the body.       There is no evidence that the car has ever been involved inany sort of accident and all panels seem to be original.  The electric blue finish is nearly blinding in directsunlight! good amount of metallic gives the car high gloss shine that canbe seen for miles.







 All of the emblems have been replaced along with the bumpers(front rear).





 An aggressively styled pop open GT style gas cap takes theplace of what the car came equipped with from the factory.  The tail light bezels have been replaced as well.  You will have  plenty of fun hitting the local cruise inns…. Maybe take home trophy!     Guarding this pony from rock chips and road debris is acinch thanks in part to stellar set of rocker panel moldings (excellentshape).





 This Mustang left the assembly line with the optionalperformance hood with integrated turn signals.  All of the glass looks to be in good condition.   A personal favorite of mine is the scarlet black vinyl roofthat is wonderfully placed on top that provides incredible contrast!





 You will also find nice set of GT side stripes hugging therocker panels which really adds the right touch!   Again this Mustang is ready for any venue

     Now that details have been discussed regarding the exterior let’s seewhat she has to offer inside!





  Upon opening the door of this 67 Ford you will find very invitinginterior!  The original (2B Lt. Blue Crinkle Cut vinyl seat covers withdark blue inserts) still grace the cockpit.  Both have been replaced and show every little wear since thetime they were installed. Located directly in back you will find the rear benchseat which of course was restored at the time as well.









   Complimenting the seat upholstery wonderfully are set offactory sanctioned door panels draped in the same fashion. Both have firmlyattached with mostly new supporting hardware.





 A beautiful new loop pile carpet runs from the base of thecockpit to the rear! An optional luxury center console helps give the interiora unique flare that brings it altogether.     









 The dash pad is damage free and all of the gauges seem to befunctioning as expected.  The inner quarter upholstery has stood the test of time andthe packing tray has held up also.





 All all the interior of this Mustang is wellpresented.   She even has nicemolded trunk mat spare to boot!   Nowthat have given several reasons why you should love this Ford…… will talkabout what makes it Americas favorite original pony car!    NoMustang can truly be considered muscle car without having factory V/8!   Theheart and soul of this horse is its STOUT built block! The engine is very responsiveand has been upgraded in various ways.  Itis dependable and very reliable.
