1993 Porsche 964 Turbo 3.6LVIN: WP0ZZZ96ZPS470299Engine #: 61P00811Midnight Blue (F8) on Leather to Sample ??ぎoeCan Can??ぎ? Leather(X26)Mileage (Oct 14th, 2015):  74,554km/46,223 milesPlease visit our Flickr page where we have over 100 highresolution images of this car.  flickr.com/photos/organize/?start_tab=one_set72157659638055025Here is youtube video of the car: youtube.com/watch?v=qV8zpfpeFSAIn the fall of 1992 the final development of the single-Turbo911, the 964 Turbo 3.6, was introduced at the Paris Autoshow.  This 3.6L engine replaced the 3.3L powerplantof the earlier 964 Turbos ??ぎ??? the 964 was always designed to take the new 3.6Lengine but budget and time restraints meant that the first years of the 964Turbo had the ??ぎ~old??ぎ?? engine.  This new 911Turbo engine, now with 360hp, had 390lb/ft of torque (vs. 330lb/ft for the3.3L), which gave the car noticeably improved performance as well as betterdriveability and emissions.  Car andDriver managed 0-60mph in 4.0sec, the more conservative Road & Track got4.5sec with ? 1/4 mile in 12.4sec at 114mph. Top speed was 180mph.  18??ぎ? 3-piece Speedline alloys and ??ぎ~Big Red??ぎ?? brakes completedthe package.  Ride height was lowered20mm (except for US vehicles).   This car, being ROW (Japanese Market) car,has the lowered ride height.  In the calendar year of 1993 Porsche made 1,355 examples andthere were final 28 produced in early 1994. US cars started production in March 1993, as 1994 Model year cars.  The Turbo 3.6 was priced at DM204,000 inGermany, and $99,000 in the US before Luxury and Gas Guzzler tax. This car hasa production date of April 19, 1993, and the Vin places it midway between470001-470650 production sequence for ROW 964 3.6 Turbos.  The US VIN sequence is 480001-480288.  In Summary, this was Porsche??ぎ??s fastest and best handling andbest braking 911 Turbo to date.  It standsas the final evolution of the single Turbo, RWD, 911 Turbo.  It is also one of the rarest variants withonly about 1,400 produced. They made about 4,200 964 3.3 Turbos, 6,000 993Turbos, and 15,000 930 Turbos by comparison. If you look at othercollectible Porsches built in similar quantities you could look to the 1973 911RS (1,308 Touring and 200 Lightweight), the 964 RS Coupe (2,282 produced), 911Carrera 3.2 Speedster (2,274 produced). The Excellence Magazine 2015/2016 Buyers Guide, lists the pricerange for #2 Condition 964 Turbo 3.6 at between $160,000-260,000.  This compares to 1989 911 Turbo at$100k-$175k, 1976/77 911 Turbo at $90k-$175k, and 993 TT at$80k-$200k.  While there is wide rangeof valuation between individual examples, it is clear that the lowestproduction variant, the 3.6, is worth the most money by considerable margin.Several 964 3.6??ぎ??s have changed hands at Auction in 2014/2015:Silverstone Auctions NEC, Nov 16 2014, #220,000 (BritishPounds)Gooding & Co: Amelia Island, March 13, 2015 $usd 330,000Gooding & Co: Pebble Beach, Aug 15/16, 2015 $usd 275,000
About this car.
This 3.6 Turbo came out of Japanese collection, and landedwith Victoria BC collector. It was traded in on new Lamborghini, andPorsche Centre Calgary purchased it from them after negotiating with the ownerof the car. PCC completed major service on the car, with the service invoicetotalling $9,565, and parts invoice totalling another $1,000.  The engine was removed from the car, thevalves adjusted, plugs, Dist Cap and Rotor replaced, belts replaced, severalminor oil leaks tended to including differential side seals, new alternator hubbearing, and new clutch and pressure plate were installed.  The car was given high-level detail, andshows magnificently. What is truly impressive about the car is how spotless the caris both topside and underside-and not as result of mammoth disassemble-the-cardetailing effort ??ぎ??? this is the way the car came to us.  When the engine was removed the car lookedlike the car had just been manufactured. There was almost no dirt, dust or corrosion that had accumulated in theengine bay, inside the fenders, in the trunk cavity or inside the wheels.  If the car showed 10,000 miles on theodometer it would be believable.  Itlooks like the car has never seen any type of inclement weather or dusty roadsin its entire life.  Inside, the leatherdash, seats and console are still supple and show no signs of heat shrinkagecommon on most dry climate Cars.  Theleather has never been painted, and still retains its original aroma andporosity.  The switchgear is perfect. Thecarpets and headliner are perfect.  Overallthe car is very solid 9.5/10 and it wouldn??ぎ??t take much to bring it up to aperfect 10.Close examination of the underside of the vehicle andinspection of the inner fenders reveals absolutely no signs of accident damageor paint work.  Every rubber seal andtrim piece and every clip and fastener appears factory original and untouched. The only signs of any wear, any place on the car are on thewindscreen which has some slight pits, and there is some slight rash on theleading edge of the rear fenders which is common on these cars.  We elected to leave the original paint, though the fenders could easily be refinished. The only other fault with the car is that the original radio has beenreplaced with modern replacement. We have the original JapaneseService/warranty manual, and several recent work orders.
