For sale is my 2003 Ford Focus 1.6 Ghia in metallic Pepper red. MK1 Focus are great car and this is my 5th. Very cheap to run and very reliable. Bought in June this year with slipping clutch, this was replaced along with the hydraulic slave cylinder/release bearing, so clutch is light as new. was going to sell it on but as it was such nice car decided to keep it. Now have bought another ST170 so it is surplus to requirement but still in daily use,so mileage will increase little. 1.6 16v petrol (100bhp) engine returns around 45mpg on my 85 mile commute to work on the motorway each day. Service history, see photo. 3 previous owners, the last spending most of her time on the motorway, hence 4th 5th gear are little whiny (being as honest as possible) but do not cause any issue, the gearbox still feeling tight as drum. replaced the l/h suspension arm when doing the clutch,as there was play in the ball joint along with fresh 5w/30 semi synthetic oil filter. The interior is velour and very comfortable. The drivers seat has an adjustable armrest for motorway comfort and both front seats have posture adjustment (lumbar). The rear seat has armrest and head rests. ALL windows are electric and operate perfectly (you can isolate operation of the rears from the drivers switch if you have children or dog in the back). Mirrors are electric as is the drivers seat height adjustment. Heated windscreen also works perfectly and is great for frosty mornings,no scraper needed, just get in switch on for 30secs! CD player works perfectly and has code, speakers are superb and rattle distortion free. A/C works but could do with recharging (pointless now summer is almost over). The bodywork is good for its age. Of course it's not showroom condition but there is no rust and the l/h sill was replaced and stone/chipped resprayed just before purchased the car. Naturally there are or car park scratches as its 13yrs old. Ford exhausts last ages and the one on this car is no exception. have only last week replaced the manifold/flexi section as it was blowing. The rest is all original. ALL tyres are brand new and the alloy wheels are all original and in superb condition with no buckles. The instrument display was replaced due the LCD failing, some time between Aug 2014 (odometer reading 97499) Aug 2015 (odometer reading 157788). This is DVLA documented, see photo. Given the odometer reading was 161191 when purchased the vehicle,I'd estimate it's genuine mileage to be closer to 110000. In summary this would be great little car for someone who wants bargain buy with full years MOT. It's reluctant sale as I've spent lot of money on it but is listed at below market value but what think is fair price. Sold as seen and driven, and without any warranty, manufacturers or third party. Viewing and test drive welcome. For any further information, please call me on 0750 8081714.
