Retro, Iconic Cult ClassicThe Nissan Figaro is two-door 2+2 retro convertible built for one year only in 1991 and originally sold only in Japan.Designed byNaoki Sakai and Shoji Takahashi from Nissan's special project group. With ONLY twenty thousand (20,000) made this car has become an iconic cult car sought after worldwide. According to Nissan, all Figaro's were built with right-hand drive. Beware of aftermarket left-hand drive conversions and scams.In 2011, noted design critic Phil Patton, writing for the New York Times, called the Figaro "the height of postmodernism" and "unabashedly retro, promiscuously combining elements of the Citroen 2CV, Renalut 4, Mini and Fiat 500."Originally, prospective purchasers entered lottery to purchase Figaro due to the high demand and extremely limited availability.This car is increasing in value and has become "collector" car making it an investment for the future.Low MileageThis Figaro has only two owners including the original purchaser from Nissan and the current owner. Mileage is very low at 91,506 km or 56,859 miles. The odometer is in km (see picture). The car was imported from Japan in 2009. It passed an out of province insurance inspection in 2009.Easy to Find Parts[edit]Based on the Nissan Micra, parts are readily available both from Nissan Japan and from the UK where the car has strong following and ready supply of custom parts available through strong aftermarket supply market. The Figaro came in four colours representing the four seasons: Topaz Mist, Emerald Green, Pale Aqua and Lapis Grey. Topaz Mist is the rarest. This one is Lapis Grey. The original paint is in good condition, with only tiny dots of rust on the rear trunk hatch and chrome near the rear wheel well (see report and photos). The original colours are readily available, but other colours look great on this car (see examples or google Nissan Figaro.)This Figaro factory original leather seats, air conditioning, and rare original AM/FM Stereo with both CD Cassette player designed especially for the Figaro. (Most have had crude aftermarket replacements. See example in the photos to see the difference.) Currently, the frequencies the radio can use is set to those common in Japan, but inexpensive kits are available online. Also, this custom stereo system is fully upgradeable to include all the electronic features of 2017 car stereo while retaining the classy look of the original.ParticularsThis car has passed insurance inspections in 2009 when it was imported from Japan, and in January 2014. It was in storage between 2011 and January 2014, September 2014 to August 2016 (in an underground, heated parkade), and from August 2016 to the present at ADESA Public Auctions in Halifax. The car comes with Nissan Figaro Cover.
The roof folds into compartment above the trunk, however, this compartment can also be used as second trunk which is only openable from inside the car for added security. 
This car has been cleared of all liens both by the seller and, additionally, the professionals at ADESA who are currently in possession of the car. It is free of all encumbrances known by seller and ADESA and has clear title. The car can be picked up from ADESA (located by the Halifax International Airport for easy access) or shipped at the buyer's expense. The seller is currently in Vancouver, BC and cannot arrange this in person (contact seller for details or negotiations on this matter). Car qualifies for Ebay's Vehicle Protection Plan (VPP).
The only known issues with the car are small dots of rust, the power steering pump requires new seal ($50 kits online), and thier is crack in the windshield at the bottom near the dash. Brakes and pair of new shocks were replaced in August 2014. new battery was installed in August 2016. The car has all season tires in good condition.

$750 US non-refundable PayPal deposit is due immediately at the end of the auction. Balance is due in more business days after the end of this auction and all funds must clear within days before title will be transferred and sale is final. Buyer is responsible for ALL fees and expenses for shipping and storage.

All fees owed to ADESA for services rendered will be covered by the seller up until days after the end of auction or title is passed to the buyer.
