Original special order 1966 Chrysler Windsor with 440/727/posi rear, buckets seats, console and vacuum gauge in Metallic Silver/Maroon vinyl roof and matching interior. All numbers match. Engine has been rebuilt and runs well. Same with the 727 Torqueflight and posi rear end (updated with modern roller bearings). Complete brakes were done last year including using NOS drums on the rear since it has the special order 3" HD brakes. This car runs and drives well but needs some small fixes that haven't been able to do due to disability. Mechanically they are exhaust gasket leak pass side, ps steering pump leak and tranny leaks bit from pan. Regular old car stuff that doesn't affect driving but is there and should be attended to.
Interior is original and mostly in amazing shape but there are rips in the drivers seat  - needs recovering and front carpet could do with replacing. The huge amount of chrome is in good condition and is visual feast as you cruise along. Speaking of cruising, this car floats down the road and will do 85mph on the highway with no effort. We drove to San Francisco last year (2500 mile round trip) with the only issue being $10 oil sender that went faulty. There is the usual Chrysler intermittent gas gauge works, then doesn't then works again. Odometer stopped working at 114K so mileage is guess
The car has one high quality repaint in the original color about years ago. Unfortunately it was clear coated as well without enough UV protector and the clear coat is causing issues plus the car has some rust issues in the rear end so it needs body and paint work though it still looks pretty decent and gets thumbs up all the time. The vinyl top is original and in excellent shape. This car has always been garaged and looked after which is evident by the general condition of the car. I'm the third owner, the original owners had it for 40 years and was their pride and joy. The second owner had most of the work done on this car (paint, engine/transmission/rear end rebuilt) and updated the carb, added petronix and an electric fuel pump to increase driveability plus he add cd player that blends nicely with the interior. did the brakes, new tires, bearings, shocks, battery all prior to the road trip so maybe 5k on those.
What else I'm listing this car because it will be difficult for me to do the work needed. was quoted $4500 for cutting the rust out and repainting the entire car from body shop. could get that done and will if the car doesn't sell but then would have to raise the price of the car so selling now will make it more affordable for someone who prefers to do their own work. If the buyer prefers, can get that done here and you will get perfect shiny car with no rust.
