1981 Volvo 262C Bertone Coupe for sale.  104,895 miles.  For those who don't know what the 262c is, it was 242 that Volvo shipped to Italy to be customized by Bertone.  It was outfitted with the PRV 2.8 V6 engine that is the same that was used in the Delorean DMC 12 and many other vehicles of that era.  Bertone also chopped the roof of the car for lower stance and put fine leather on everything possible inside.  These cars sold new for $20,000 or more.  Which was tough market in 1981, which is why only 912 of these were produced that year.  These vehicles were numbered, and this one looks to be #008544.
I have huge amount of receipts for maintenance on this car, even receipt for purchase at over 20k.  Original manual.  Vehicle is black with black Italian leather interior.  Clear title in my name.  Undercarriage is very solid with no holes.  Body is fairly solid, has few rusty spots, mainly surface rust but does have some small holes in the lower rear quarters and upper part of right side rocker panel.  Doors are solid.  Paint could use redone.  Passenger mirror is broken, driver mirror is bent little bit.  All glass is good, small chip in windshield that saw and right side door glass has scratches that could probably be buffed out.  Has the extremely rare crown badges, which are all intact.  Wheels are in ok shape, but missing center caps, tires all hold air and front ones are useable.  Radio works, unable to test any of the other electronics.  Interior isn't bad for the age, carpet is excellent and would clean up very nice, what think are the original floor mats.  Seats are ok, driver has stitches coming apart and some of the dye is worn off.  Dash has few cracks.  Rear seat and headliner are near perfect.  
Now for the bad.  The car has been sitting for an unknown amount of time.  I bought it from an estate auction because thought it was cool looking and know how well Volvos hold up over the years.  After that found out how rare these cars actually are.  After having keys made for it, realized that the engine is seized and the car will not run.  Lots of people have swapped SBCs into these, or SBFs, which is my plan if the car doesn't sell.  It rolls fine and the transmission moves through gears ok.  Tail lights are broken out.  I only have door/ignition key, but no trunk key-there is power release.
Please keep in mind that you are bidding on project or parts car, which will need work.  It does not run and therefore cannot test and functionality of anything.  I have described what know as best as can, but there may be things that have overlooked.  Please review the pictures and ask any further questions before bidding.
Succesful bidder to pay $500 deposit via Paypal within 24 hours of auction end(I will send invoice).  Remainder to be paid with CASH upon vehicle pickup.  If you prefer to pay all via Paypal, buyer will be responsible for additional fees charged by paypal for transaction.  PA buyers must be present at pickup or prior to transfer vehicle title, absolutely no exceptions.  Out of state buyers can either be present or will Fedex title to you once full payment has cleared.  These are the only options.  If you are having vehicle shipped, will assist in any way can, but will only hold vehicle for weeks from end of auction, after that may charge storage fees and also cannot be responsible for any issues that may arise with the vehicle remaining.   I hold all the rights to the information and pictures contained in this listing and will be sure that any person is prosecuted for illegally reposting or reusing this information.
