Hi everyone,To start with, bought this car as non runner of the family who bought new car instead of fixing this one. like to spend some time by fixing and servicing cars as this is my hobby.Non runner because timing chain jumped over exhaust sprocket by teeth, this caused loss of power and compression (11bar), no damage to engine whatsoever. Another fault was steering angle sensor faulty.
This is list what did to this car:1) New timing chain kit fitted (compression back to normal 19 bar) rocker cover gasket changed2) Oil and oil filter changed3) Air and cabin filters changed4) 2nd hand CIM and cluster fitted (steering angle sensor replaced)5) Air con checked and refilled so you do not need to worry about driving car this hot summer.6) Valeting done
Car has service history and lots of receipts. V5 shows previous owners but by the paperwork you will notice that owners had this car only for couple months like me (most likely just resold it)Last owner said that reconditioned gearbox was fitted 18 months ago but unfortunately they have not saved any receipts, anyway it can be clearly seen that gearbox, radiator and condenser were changed at some point not long time ago.There are few scratches here and there, lets admit the car is not new.
So basically Car faults fixed, service done, all clean and tidy, MOT Passed today(24-6). Will be ready to serve to the new keeper :)
One more thing to mention: Genuine miles are 66057 but because had to replace CIM+Speedo(cluster) there will be 85k shown on the clock. understand it is very awful to those who care just about number shown in speedo, but if you care about car condition and how this car drives it will make no diference if it is 66k or 85k on the clock.
