My Mk1 Volkswagen Derby is for sale.  Only one reason for sale I don't live in the samecountry as it so it has to go, as can't look after it or store it for muchlonger (currently stored in garage located in Scunthorpe). If you're into your VWs, probably already know that this car was featured on the front cover of PVW magazine couple of months ago.  The car is 1979 Volkswagen Derby LS only 28 left in theUK.The 1300cc 8v engine (Polo Mk2f) was rebuilt at 70k (theengines now on 92k). The car itself has done approx 60k.Ignition system changed to mk2 to run bike carbs.Carbs where rebuilt and cleaned 2k ago all set up on afrgauge.Fitted new clutch release bearing and had full service inAugust. Gearbox oil replaced to with fully synthetic oil.Suspension on the front is custom coilover and strut. Rear suspension is just mk1golf adjustable coilover. Whichare well looked after and fully greased every month.4-2-1 manifold. With standard exhaust just pipe andback box. No cat needed due to the age of the car.Bay is smoothed Heatermatrix delete, fuse box moved behindthe dash, battery is in the boot, screen wash is also in the boot. Had bare metal respray with all the rust prone areas acidtreated, earlier this year. The colour is off nissan figaro its called lapus grey.Paint code WK4. The interior is porsche tombstones freshly retrimmed 5months ago in golf gti campaign trim. (Refoamed seats too). Rears whererefoamed and retrimmed in the same trim. Parcel shelf retrimmed to match.Carpet is perfect.Nardi steering wheel.Has the original motorola stereo. Which isn't wired up atthe moment, because its only mw/am.Early chrome bumpers (stupidly rare) imported from belgium(??920 alone for front and rear bumper). Rare early grille fitted (imported fromGermany).Car comes on 13" steelies. (NOT THE RONALS).Car also comes with Volkswagen Derby Haynes manual. 
Niggles:Speedo cable and rev counter needs reconnecting.New rear brake light needed. Tail gate light needs fitting (part comes with sale).Driver side needs new door handle fitting (part comes withsale).Small surface rust spot on the underside of the car (easysort).New indicator stalk needs fitting (part comes with sale).
Buyer will pay via bank transfer upon collection. Car drives fine, will need jumpstart to get you home, as it needs new battery. Collection from Scunthorpe. Stored in friend's garage who will handle giving you the keys etc. Parts are at my mum's in Stoke on Trent, though, so I'll get these posted out to you with postage tracking. As said, only the one reason or sale. If lived in the UK I'd be keeping it, no question.
